Lavender Sky Health review: costs and continuing care

You prefer paying for consultations and orders as needed rather than a recurring subscription.

Our view

Lavender Sky Health stands out for its nonrecurring payment structure. That makes the next charge easier to control, but it also puts responsibility on the patient to organize follow-up and ordering. We would compare a complete consultation-plus-medication estimate and confirm the required review schedule before deciding it is cheaper than a bundle.

A different rhythm from a subscription

Lavender Sky Health says it charges for consultations and medication orders without recurring billing. Its FAQ lists a $65 new-patient consultation and $40 follow-up. This is a useful distinction for someone who wants to decide when to place an order, but it does not mean treatment can be managed without clinical follow-up.

The practical task is to learn what prompts the next review. Ask when the clinician needs to see you again, which information is required and how much time to allow before an order. The practice says a follow-up is needed if more than six months have passed since the last consultation. Your own care plan can require earlier contact; the administrative policy is not a personal medical schedule.

Keep consultation and medication prices separate

The FAQ says refill orders between required follow-ups do not carry an additional consultation or provider fee. Medication still has a cost. Specialty or compounding pharmacy plans generally include medication and delivery in the plan price, while branded plans cover care and leave the medication purchase to a pharmacy of your choice.

That distinction changes the comparison with a bundled service. Build a first-period total using the consultation and the actual pharmacy plan, then estimate later periods using only confirmed follow-up requirements. Do not assume every month has a consultation or that no future consultation will be needed. Our care-cost planner can keep those categories visible.

Ask about the route to the clinician

The practice offers e-consult and phone-consult options and publishes a pre-patient guide. Choose the format based on the discussion you need, not simply the shortest intake. If your history is complicated or another clinician is involved, ask what records should be supplied and how a conversation can be arranged.

Its direct-pay model does not include prior authorizations. If pharmacy insurance is central to your budget, resolve that before paying for a consultation on the assumption the practice will manage an appeal. Ro and Calibrate provide useful alternative insurance-navigation questions, although coverage remains a separate decision by a health plan.

No recurring bill still needs a handoff

Because there is no scheduled subscription charge, stopping future purchases is simpler than turning off an automatic renewal. That does not establish a right to refund an already completed consultation or processed medication order. We did not establish a universal refund amount for those situations from the FAQ; ask before purchase if that uncertainty would change your choice.

A nonrecurring service can work well when the reader understands both the administrative and clinical responsibilities. Save the next contact date and the appropriate message route. Our constipation guide helps prepare questions that should not wait for an ordering decision. The question builder and comparison guides support a practical choice without treating order flexibility as evidence of better medical care.

A consultation model can be easier to itemize

With Lavender Sky Health, a new-consultation fee and a medication invoice can be recorded separately. The $65 initial consultation and $40 follow-up are different events; neither should automatically be added to every refill. This structure makes the timing of required follow-ups important to a fair annual estimate. It also allows a reader to see what the medication itself costs without subtracting an assumed membership. Compare the exact pharmacy package and required clinical visits over the same period. A service without a recurring membership can still involve repeat clinical fees and a substantial medication purchase.
